One day soon we will be sharing our journey with our child, helping them to understand how they came into this world, and how very special and loved they are.
You see it is important to Keith and me to allow our child to understand that not everyone in life has the same experience, but that doesn't make them less wanted or loved. Since we started the adoption process we have been racking our brains trying to decide how it would be best to explain their "Birth Story" and this is our story:
When we decided we wanted to start a family, we weren't able to make a baby on our own, so Mommy and Daddy asked God, "What do we do?" God let us know in so many ways that adoption was our way. So we searched and we searched, and then God found your Birth Mommy. She had a baby growing inside of her and she wanted to give her special baby to someone who couldn't have one on their own. She was very brave and strong, but it was very hard for her because she loved you so much. But God gave her the strength and she placed you in our arms and that's when Daddy, Mommy, and you became a family. And though she isn't here with you now, she is always thinking of you and will always love you just as we do, our very special boy/girl.
